The new diocesan Stewardship of Creation Ministry, a pastoral program of the Office of Life & Justice, aims to provide parish education and practical stewardship guidelines so as to use our parish and diocesan resources wisely and rediscover God's original plan for fruitfulness and stewardship in His creation.

Prayer & Worship Opportunities

  • Join in the annual Blessing of Seeds, Blessing of Farm Animals, and Green Mass opportunities

  • Collaborate with the diocese on new prayer opportunities, including but not limited to rosaries, Adoration hours, and Scripture studies focused on Stewardship of Creation themes.

Leadership & Volunteer Opportunities

  • Create or join a Stewardship of Creation ministry in your parish or local faith organization

  • Assist parishes and schools with planning and organizing Stewardship of Creation actions and events

  • Coordinate with the diocesan Stewardship of Creation Ministry in providing local, geographic insight into direction for the diocese in stewarding resources wisely.

Pastoral Care Opportunities

  • Facilitate parish, school, and group presentations on Stewardship of Creation topics

  • Assist with development of additional presentations on Stewardship of Creation topics

  • Serve as a diocesan resource for questions from groups on the Church's teaching on Stewardship of Creation

Fundraising & Promotion

Please prayerfully consider making a donation to the Stewardship of Creation ministry program.  This will be used for items such as prayer cards, guest speaker stipends, diocesan and parish energy conservation efforts, and other program materials, as well as training and travel for team members.  You may donate online or by sending a check made payable to:
